Operations Manager, Environmental
Location: United States
The Operations Manger, Environmental is responsible for managing project opportunities from initial conceptualization and bid/proposal phase through field execution, client acceptance and final invoicing. Specific duties will include devising technical solutions, identifying and assembling required resources, and managing scope, schedule and cost in accordance with contract parameters. Travel: 50-75%
Essential Duties and Responsibilites
• |
As a back-up reviewer, able to conduct pre-production reviews of all project reports to identify technical issues, inconsistencies, and quality issues. |
• |
Provide feedback regarding production, quality, or technical issues to Vice President. |
• |
Conduct final reviews of project reports to ensure complete follow-up on outstanding technical and quality issues has been performed. |
• |
Conduct post-production reviews of project reports prior to reports being shipped to clients to ensure copying and binding accuracy and quality. |
• |
Schedule all new projects in the master calendar and maintain the schedule to meet deadlines efficiently. |
• |
Act as resource for other employees for technical knowledge, operational procedures, and understanding PRI’s perspective. |
• |
Work with the Vice President, Project Managers, Project Engineers, and Project Coordinators to ensure that projects we have been engaged in are completed in a timely manner of the best quality. |
• |
Approval of invoices for the Environmental business unit. |
• |
Other duties as assigned. |
Qualifications
• |
Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in civil or environmental engineering, or related. |
• |
5-10 years experience directly involved with execution of work at the field level during remedial construction activity. |
• |
Additional experience specifically as Project Manager. |
• |
Accomplished in UST removals, demolition, excavation, restoration, soil and ground water remediation systems, and hazardous waste cleanup operations. |
• |
40 Hour Hazwoper certified with current Refresher and Supervisor training. |
• |
Strong team building & leadership skills. |
• |
Excellent communication and documentation skills. |
• |
Must be proficient in computer skills. |
• |
Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects. |
• |
Commitment to building client relationships and satisfaction. |
• |
Working knowledge of EPA, DOT, and OSHA regulations. |

This position requires extensive travel by foot, automobile, and airlines. This position also requires working in the outdoor environment subject to weather extremes and rough terrain.
