Time Critical Recovery/Response
   
  PRI provides environmental cleanup response to natural and man-made disasters,
terrorist activities, and biological and chemical incidents while maintaining positive community relations. PRI conducts treatment and removal of hazardous substances/wastes, site investigations, sampling and analysis, feasibility studies, removal and disposal of materials, excavation, and restoration. USACE Omaha   USACE Omaha District Rapid Response/Immediate Response Contract, Nationwide
On a second consecutive contract, PRI provides $40 million in Rapid Response/Immediate Response (RR / IR) services at confirmed or suspected Hazardous, Toxic, and Radioactive Waste and Ordnance and Explosive Waste sites anywhere in the US. Completed sites include mining sites, mill and smelter sites, residential sites, oil reclamation sites, and lead and asbestos-contaminated sites.
   
EPA Region 7 Superfund Technical Assessment   EPA Region 7 Superfund Technical Assessment and Response Team (START), MO, KS, IA, NE
On a second, consecutive contract, PRI provides $2.7 million in technical assistance services, including quality assurance and health and safety oversight, Phase I and Phase II Brownfields site assessments, pre-CERCLIS screening investigations, time-critical removal action oversight, sampling and analysis, and community relations.
   
Vieques Island, Puerto Rico   NAVFAC Atlantic Division, Environmental Remediation and Munitions Response Services, Vieques, Puerto Rico
PRI managed Munitions of Explosives Concern (MEC) surface removal actions of beaches, roadways, trails, and locations within the property boundaries of the former U.S. Naval Ammunition Support Detachment closed in May 2003. All work was conducted in accordance with the Department of Defense regulations and guidance, Defense Environmental Restoration Program (DERP), Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA), the National Contingency Plan (NCP), Resource conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), and compliance with all other applicable laws and regulations.
   
Hazardous Waste Management   USACE Omaha District, Household Hazardous Waste Management, New Orleans, Louisiana
Under a delivery order from the USACE Omaha District, PRI provided household hazardous waste management services in response to Hurricane Katrina. PRI manages the Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) disposal facility and was responsible for the extraction of household hazardous waste and commercial hazardous waste produced during debris removal and housing demolition. PRI demonstrated flexibility by adjusting projected crew sizes, equipment requirements, and tasking as appropriate. PRI segregated, packaged and shipped the waste for disposal, following federal and local regulations. Other responsibilities included air monitoring, quality assurance, inspection of shipping containers and strict enforcement of site safety and health requirements, all of which PRI executed to the highest standards.
