Military Design-Build Construction with PRI

		Air Force Center for Engineering and Environment HERC, Worldwide PRI provides the Air Force Center for Engineering and Environment with turnkey design, construction, demolition, repair, and emergency response services for the Heavy Engineering Repair and Construction (HERC) program. This multiple award, IDIQ contract focuses on design-build, design-build-plus, and design-bid-build construction of new facilities and infrastructure, and remodeling and upgrade of existing facilities and infrastructure at Continental United States (CONUS) and Outside Continental United States (OCONUS) locations. In addition, PRI provides support as needed for environmental work incidental to construction efforts. As the prime contractor, PRI is prepared to meet AFCEE customer needs in remote, austere, and hostile environments.


		USACE Louisville District MATOC, Louisville, KY Under this $52 million IDIQ contract, PRI manages multiple task orders involving building renovations, building maintenance and repairs, building demolition, structural repairs, site work, utility replacements, channel improvements, landscaping, and geotechnical work. Specialized construction includes anti-terrorism and security upgrades for bases.


		Naval Air Station (NAS) Meridian, Job Order Contract (JOC), MS On this $3 million JOC, PRI performs design-build construction management, repair, alteration, and maintenance services at NAS Meridian OLF Joe Williams Field and the SEARAY Target Range. PRI manages multiple subcontractors and personnel on task orders involving repairs and maintenance of underground utilities and sewage lift systems; electrical/HVAC upgrades to base housing; and general construction to upgrade federal administrative buildings. PRI also has constructed a $3 million air traffic control tower for our SPAWAR client at NAS Meridian.


		USACE Little Rock District, Fort Chaffee JOC, AR Under this $3 million IDIQ contract, PRI provides repair, maintenance, and construction services on multiple, concurrent civil military projects at remote locations throughout Sebastian County, Arkansas. One of the challenges of working at remote locations is to retain staffed in a cost-effective manner, but still be able to provide rapid response. PRI implemented web-based communication tools to ensure that projects progress in a timely and efficient manner. In addition, all personnel and subcontractors maintain open communication with each other and the client to ensure a seamless organization and provide a high-quality work product.


		NAS Whiting Field Emergency Construction Response, Milton, Florida NAS Whiting Field, the busiest Naval Air Station in the world, took the full brunt of Hurricane Ivan, a Category 3 hurricane, with damages including loss of electrical power, communications, and wind and water damage to structures and roofs. PRI was immediately contacted to provide emergency response services and worked around-the-clock to clear streets and restore power and communications. Within 24 hours, PRI mobilized more than 100 staff to assist in emergency response operations, damage assessment, and reconstruction. Within 7 days, the facilities were fully operational, and within 13 days, the station was cleared to resume their total flight operations.
