PRI awarded $55 million FEMA Base Camp Operation Services Contract

San Diego, California — Project Resources, Inc. (PRI) announced it was awarded a Base Camp Operation Services contract by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS)/Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Gulf Coast Recovery Office. This contract includes construction and operation of a base camp site to stage FEMA and other authorized personnel and assets deployed for declarations of disaster or emergency within the hurricane prone state of Texas.

Recognizing PRI’s past performance and technical expertise, FEMA awarded PRI a 1-year contract, consisting of a Blanket Purchasing Agreement with a buying power of $55 million. PRI will establish and maintain a base camp in disaster-impacted areas within 72 hours of notification, including mobilization and base camp design, site preparation, installation, management, and turnkey operations. PRI will house between 500 and 2,500 base camp occupants with modular units that include air conditioning, heating, and bedding. PRI will provide meal services; operate kitchen and dining halls, recreation and medical facilities, operations centers, and shower and hand wash units; and maintain potable drinking water, toilets, sanitation services, laundry service, generators, and light towers. PRI will maintain capability to remove assets in less than 8 hours in the event of additional disasters or other threatening occurrences that put the base camp or responders at risk. PRI will also be responsible for returning to the base camp site to its original condition and demobilizing within 7 days.
