PRI Provides Emergency Response to Hurricane Devastated Areas
September 26, 2005
San Diego, California — PRI today announced it has been awarded three contracts for hurricane emergency response services by the federal government. Recognizing PRI’s technical expertise and its experience in providing emergency response services after three hurricanes in Florida last year, the USEPA and Navy Southern Division, selected PRI to provide its services in three different states simultaneously.
- Hurricane Rita — PRI was contracted to provide emergency environmental response to Houston, Texas by the USEPA on Saturday, September 24th.
- Hurricane Katrina — PRI was contracted to provide hazardous waste sampling in New Orleans, Louisiana by the USEPA on Saturday, September 24th.
- Hurricane Dennis — PRI was contacted by the US Navy Southern Division (SoDiv) on September 25th to respond to
damages caused by Hurricane Dennis at NAS Whiting Field located in Milton, FL. PRI received the call for construction
support, as a result of performing repairs for the same client after Hurricane Ivan.
“The work prescribed under these contracts is important and complex,” stated Frank J. Loscavio, President of PRI. “The selection of PRI by the federal government recognizes our proven experience and ability to deliver results in
Emergency and Rapid Response services.”
